Happy Birthday Christian!

I had such a fun day planned for Christian's 33rd birthday. It started off at the Ritz Carlton Spa where Christian got a massage and I got a facial. Christian loved it! We hung out in the hot tub and in our separate lounge areas. Next time I go I think I am going to get a service and then spend the rest of the day in the lounge area reading my Kindle. It was wonderful and so relaxing.

Next we walked over to Luke Restaurant on St. Charles Avenue. Yummy!

After walking around in Canal Place, we headed back to Metairie.

I have been telling Christian that he NEEDS a pedicure. You just can't imagine what his feet look like. It's not the toes, it's the bottom of his foot. Trust me, it's bad. Sorry dear.

Much to his chagrin, I took him to get a pedicure.

I just knew he would love getting one even though he didn't want one.

He didn't love it. Oh well, I tried.

Christian said for my birthday we are going to play a round of golf and eating at Hooter's.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! We were still in Jackson when Mother's Day came rolling around. We went to Pinelake Chuch...love it, had a fantastic lunch, and then came home and visited with Christian's parents. Great day! I love spending time with all of my family.

Happy Mother's Day to my mom. I am so blessed to have a godly Mother that has taught me how to be a mom, friend, and Christian. I am thankful for the progression of our relationship from parent-child to best friends. I love you, Mom.

Thank you to my wonderful hubby for my Lisa Leonard necklace http://www.lisaleonardonline.com/. I love it!

Happy 2nd Birthday Cooper!

Happy 2nd birthday Cooper! Cooper woke up early Friday morning on his birthday for some birthday fun.

Breakfast was served on his birthday plate and birthday placemat. He was surrounded by streamers and balloons and loved every minute of it. Coop was the star of the day!

After we dropped Jack off to school, I took Cooper to Chuck E Cheese and his best buddy Peyton met us there.

Monkey See...

Monkey Do!

Tonight Tyler graduated from grad school :) at Mississippi College with his MBA so we had to miss Vineyard in the Park. :( We were really excited to go stay with Ty Ty for the 1st time (ever) since Chad, Robyn, and Rylie Girl moved to Jackson. I see a lot of more weekends spent at Tyler's. Thank you Tyler for taking us in, giving up your room, sleeping with Jack Jack, and sharing the house with Brooksie. You were a trooper especially when you found out we didn't bring poopy bags for Brooksie and you saw little boy's poo poo shoe prints in your garage. Oops!

Congratulations, Tyler! We are so proud of you.

After dinner we went back to Ty Ty's and sang Happy Birthday to Cooper. Cooper loves this song. He makes me sing it year round to everyone, but his favorite person for me to sing it to is my hairdresser, Sheri. Why? Not sure.

Happy Birthday to you

Happy Birthday to you

Happy Birthday Dear Cooper

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Cooper. You light up our world. You are very funny, sweet, and talkative. There are no boring days with you around. You love and adore your brother, and I can't wait to see y'alls friendship grow. I thank God for you every day, pray that He protects you, and that you know Him personally from an early age and all the days of your life. I can't imagine my life without your sweet smile. I love you.
Love,
Mommy

Ruff Ruff!

May is a month full of birthdays in our home. We begin on the 2nd with Brooksie's birthday, the 6th with Coop's, and the 11th with Christian's. We have so much fun celebrating together.

Happy 8th birthday, Brooksie!

The boys loved singing to Brooksie, and she thought she had died and gone to heaven eating a chocolate cupcake!

I tried getting a picture of her eating the cupcake, but by the time I pressed the button to take the picture the cupcake was gone. Celebrating in Brooksie style...expected nothing but!

Hello Rylie Girl!

Finally! We met Rylie Chayse. She is beautiful and looks just like her Mommy, Robyn. I am so excited my brother Chad has a baby. I am even more excited that they are now living a mere 2 hours away in Pearl instead of 20 plus hours away in Rhode Island.

Rylie, I promised your Daddy I would aggravate you as much as he has aggravated my boys since the day they were born. But how could anyone bother such a sweet looking baby? I guess Uncle Chad will just have to be the sole aggravator in the family.

Cooper is in love with Rylie. He always asks to hold her. He slapped Christian's arm and said, "I want a baby sister. Go get me one now." I guess the boy knows what he wants!

Jack's playmates are Chad and Robyn while they are in town. Until baby Rylie arrived. While Jack is still adjusting to the attention switch, he is in love with Rylie also. He asks to hold her and kiss her. After Rylie is happy from being in one of many people's arms, Jack gets undivided attention from Aunt RaRa and Uncle Chad. I am so glad my boys love Rylie. They are all going to be the best of friends one day.

Happy Easter!

Holidays are so exciting with children. I love decorating the house and doing holiday activities with the boys. Jack and Coop couldn't wait for Easter morning. Our Easter bunny thought he was Santa Clause. Year after year we say that the bunny needs to remember he is no Old St. Nick. Maybe next year.

Dyeing Easter eggs with Tyler is a tradition, and he was sorely missed this year. Uncle Ty Ty, you need to figure out your schedule and pencil us in next time! We really could have used you when it came time to mixing the dye with the water and vinegar. Would you actually believe that 2 college degree individuals could not figure out how to mix it AFTER we read the directions like 5 times each. My excuse? Blonde hair. My hubby? ??? Thankfully, one of my best friends is an engineer and she knew EXACTLY what to do! I think I might have heard serious laughter from her family as I was hanging up the phone. What were you laughing at, Kristy and Adam? I don't get it. :)

Easter at Gigi and Poppy's

Happy Easter!

Fun with Daddy

I am really behind with blogging. May has been crazy busy and I wasn't caught up with April yet. My mother warned me not to have a baby in May, and we all know how well I listened to that! I can tell you that my next baby will not be born in the spring! Here's a LONG catch up on April.

Fun with Daddy

Jack loves doing fun things with his Daddy. Here are some pictures of a recent trip to the zoo.

Snowball Time!
We took the kids for their first snowballs of the season, and they wanted ice cream. Go figure!

My Springtime Artists

The boys loved when we pulled out the finger paint. Sadly, this was Cooper's first time EVER to finger paint! Shame on me! The boys had a blast (and we haven't done it since)!

Good Friday Crawfish Boil

Every Good Friday for a long time now, we go to our good friends Debbie and Peter's family crawfish boil in Old Metairie. Sadly, this is the last year that it will be held here. Hopefully this tradition will still continue somewhere else.
The day started out with some delicious crawfish.

My Sweet Hubby

Ty Ty

Pete and precious Madison

And then turned into this...

Aunt Nancy soaking Uncle Tommy

Poppy trying to get Jack Jack

Jack getting him back

And ended like this...

As the saying goes, "If Gigi's not happy, aint nobody happy."
Party over.

Happy 2nd Birthday Caroline!

We celebrated cousin Caroline's 2nd birthday at Lafriniere's carousel early (9AM!) the Saturday before Easter. The boys had a blast. "Birthday party" means cake to Cooper so he was super excited to go, and Jack loves playing with everyone so he was on board too.

Cooper went around the carousel one time, as in one complete circle, and he looked at Gigi and said "Done".
Jack had fun playing and talking until I took him literally kicking and screaming on the carousel. Yes, I am one of those moms that makes my kid try something. Jack is one of the kids that will decide if he likes or doesn't like something without ever trying it, and will often change his mind once he tries it.

I took it easy on him and we rode the bench the first time while he clung to me for dear life. The second time I was able to unglue myself from him and take pics of him.

The 3rd time I made him ride a horse (with a ridiculous amount of tears). The result: "I had fun, but I don't need to do it again!" Well, that's all I needed to hear. I am glad he went. Jack has always been afraid. He rode his first one at Vineyard in the Park when he was 16 months old and he screamed the whole time. I guess not much has changed and he truly doesn't like them!

I love this little boy!

Love Cooper Rongey!

The boys can't wait until Cooper Rongey is big enough to play with them!
