Snapshots of 2010 part 3

June

This month started out with a quick visit to Children's Hospital. My little mischievious one that I mentioned last month, really got into a doozie this month! Cooper, not walking yet at 13 months, was standing at the coffee table holding onto an iron tray with a glass bottom. He lost his balance and fell, and he pulled down the tray with him. The glass came out and sliced him between his eyes. He needed stitches, but luckily Dermabond was used in its place. Whew! All is well. That child is going to give me a lot of grays very, very soon!

Jack learned how to swim! Our favorite teacher, Mrs. Kelly, taught has taught Jack for the past 2 years, and he loves it! He swam all summer long.

June is a HOT month for the Global Wildlife Center, but we sweated our way through it! The Mahoney's brought their 2 beautiful girls, Keira and Mallie. We had a great time on the wagon ride and at the playground. For some reason, it looks like it was 100 degrees on our side of the wagon, and the Mahoney's look like they were riding along in 80 degree weather! Hmmmm...

July

We spent the 4th of July with great friends and family. The Rusich's had us over for a swim party. My boys got to play with the triplets, Halie, Madison, and Reiss which is always fun for them. This month we also found out AUNT RA RA IS PREGNANT!!! We have prayed very long and hard for this well, miracle. We were beside ourselves excited! Aunt Ra Ra and Uncle Chad are going to make the best parents. Although, I am not sure how my boys are going to like the attention switch from Aunt Ra Ra and Uncle Chad once baby Rylie Girl (as my boys fondly call her) gets here.

Our family vacation was in beautiful Destin. We have been going here at least once a year for the past 18 years. We are lucky that we are all able to find a time where everyone in the family can come. Lots of swimming, movies, shopping, and eating. My kind of trip! Also, lots of time for an aunt and 2 uncles to spend with my boys. Jack is beginning to really look forward to going to the beach house to play with them.

This is the best shot of the 2 boys together. Why is it so hard to get a 3 year old and 14 month old to look at the same spot at the same time? Enough said I guess.

Much of the summer was spent at Gigi and Poppy's house swimming, playing, and eating. We love to take walks and stop at their house which is only a couple of streets over (Yay!). This picture is one of my favorite pictures. Coop is looking at one of his favorite people which happens to be one of my favorite people. I also think Coop looks just like him. What do you think?

August

It was pretty sweltering outside so we played inside a lot. Sometimes it got us into trouble and sometimes these boys just looked plain cute!

Christian and I spent our 6th wedding anniversary in Houston, Texas for our friend Terry Boffone's wedding to beautiful Amanda. We had a wonderful weekend staying at Hotel ZaZa hanging out with family and friends.

For the past two years, we have spent a long weekend in August with some of our best friends, the Kuehne's. Jack and Preston are best buddies and Cooper adores his "Payt". We hope to make this an annual trip wherever our lives may lead us :)

And this really, really long post continues...
