Snapshots of 2010 part 2

April

We love having playdates. It's a great time to for the kids to play together and to develop friendships, but REALLY it's a great time for the moms to get together! We usually have have play dates once a week. This month we all met for pizza at the delicious Theo's and then rode the street car all the way down Canal. That was a very interesting ride! A bunch of inexperienced moms on the Canal street car decided it would be a good idea to get off on Canal and go to McDonald's. This just so happens to be the same McDonald's where a shooting happened a couple of weeks ago! Needless to say, we will go back to our St. Charles trolley line!

April was a month filled with love. There were lots of happy times and lots of sad times for us. My beautiful cousin Kellie married Phillip in Arkansas. Jack was the cutest ring bearer I've ever seen! That night a little after midnight, we lost our dear Grandmother. She lived a beautiful life loving her husband, her family, and Jesus. She was the perfect role model for being faithful in her commitments to her husband and to God. Oh, how I wish my children would have been able to know her longer. She is missed dearly from everyone that knew and loved her.

May

Happy 1st birthday, Cooper! We don't tend to do small, so we didn't do small here either! We had friends and family over for his party and completed it with a bounce house. Even though Coop was sick with a cold, he was a trooper for his party. Cooper is such a happy little baby. He has several main loves in his life right now: his mommy, his daddy, his bubby, his pacifier, and an ear! As long as he has his 5 things, his life is complete. Cooper is definitely my ball of energy and mischievous child. My mom keeps saying I was just like that...hmmm.

Happy Birthday Coop!

May brought t-ball. Jack was so excited about the idea of playing baseball with his daddy at Harahan playground. Unfortunately, like many other 3 year olds, the idea was more exciting than the reality! From the moment we would get on the field, Jack only had eyes for the playground. He was rewarded with playing on the playground after every game. Go Yankees!

May brought the end of the year program at Parkway for Jack in the Busy Bees class. It was so cute watching him sing! Jack's mom made the mistake of telling him he could wear stickers on each arm, but she won't be making that mistake twice! He was really interested in showing them to the kid next to him, but I got a shot of him paying attention (to me :)).
