Strawberry Pickin

The boys and I went to Heather's Strawberry Farm in Albany, LA today with a lot of friends. We had such a good time! We were given a wooden crate and told to fill it with strawberries. I couldn't wait for the cute pics to come! Jack had another idea. All he could see was wide open land and a bunch of boys to play with. Jack was dirty and loving it. I asked him what his favorite part of strawberry pickin was and he replied, "Playing with my friends and looking for insects." Well, I guess that counts as strawberry pickin too! I hope to go every year; maybe we will include Christian next time. There's nothing like picking strawberries and eating them right as you pick them.

Throw Me Something Mister

Jack and Coop loved Mardi Gras. They couldn't get enough of raising their hands and calling for beads. They caught on quickly!

Cesaer was our first parade of the season.

Parkway's Parade
Jack was so excited to have us there. His sweet little face lit up as soon as he saw us.

Chad, Tyler, and Elizabeth came in for Mardi Gras weekend. We visited a lot and ate crawfish and king cake. I am so glad Chad and Robyn will be living in Mississippi shortly. I can predict lots of weekend road trips in our future!

We took the boys to the uptown parades on Saturday in the rain. Fortunately, it didn't rain too much, but it began pouring as soon as we left! Aunt Tammy and Danielle saved us some good spots.

Sunday was our Mard Gras day. We went uptown for the parades. We were there 5 hours, and the boys did great! This was the 1st day Coop went without a nap (yes, I am a nap nazi!) so I was a little worried about how he would do. With a little extra lovin' from Aunt Franny (ahem, Aunt Franny, he NEVER needs that kind of lovin' AGAIN!!!) and a lot of crying at bedtime, and he was good to go. We had a great day with friends and family.

All in all Mardi Gras weekend was great. The only thing missing was Gigi and Poppy. Maybe next year.

A little behind - February and some of March

Happy Valentine's Day!

My boys love playgrounds, and I love to take pictures of them on playgrounds.

Two cute Ipad monsters live in our house. They both ask for Angry Birds or Aywee Burds if Coop's talking. They've also learned how to kill a cat. Thank goodness it's a cat and not a dog. I have to raise them right!

Since Jack was old enough to walk, he has loved playing outside in the hose. He giggles so loudly when it hits his face. He reacts the same now as he has for the past 3 summers. I hope this never changes.

Christian decided to have a little fun with the boys one night. It's amazing to see how much fun it is to play with something that is not a toy. They love it!

Coopy hates the vacuum cleaner, and I think he felt safe from it hiding under here. He made me smile.

Gigi and Poppy brought home some cool gifts for Pirate Jack and Pirate Cooper from their last vacation.
